From the Archives
2024 marks the 20 year anniversary of the great grain elevator move that brought our beloved elevator complex to its final location. Built in 1928 by the Midland and Pacific Grain Corporation, the originally red elevator changed hands and roles over the years.
On January 8, 2004, the then blue Foster’s elevator was transported from its original location in Albright to the South Peace Centennial Museum. People came from all around to witness the remarkable 7 km move. Visit the museum for a more detailed history on the once again red, partially restored elevator.
